Activity Days and Residential Stays
Come and visit one of our stunning venues in West Wiltshire. We have 2 sites that we use at Thoulstone Park and Roundwood. Both offer unique options and experiences for different groups.
Come and visit our site at Thoulstone Park near Chapmanslade. This site was new to us in late 2020 and has had its first operational year in 2021. The site is the old 18 hole golf course and we are allowed to use part of this for our big school days and residentials.
Our tent village has capacity for up to 120 students with staff in individual tents.
Tents are heavy duty Canvas tents that are put up for the season. Smaller groups may want to take advantage of the opportunity to put up their own smaller tents as part of a life skills lesson, in another part of the site as part of their program.
We have an onsite shower block with mains water and gas boilers for those groups staying a bit longer.
Activities we offer are, Archery, Axe Throwing, Battle Archery, Crate Stack, Climbing walls, Orienteering, Sit on kayaks, Raft building, Pioneering, Team challenge, Low ropes, Camp fires, Zip wire, Laser tag, Wide games, and more to come in 2022.
The site has an 80 foot x 40 foot marquee to use as a base and place to meet and eat.
We had an existing water feature expanded into a small lake for a bit of water activity.
Thoulstone Park also offers us an amazing opportunity to use the site for expeditions, with us running several to in Westbury to make use of the amazing lake there for canoeing and Stand Up Paddle boarding. We have also used it as a base for DofE groups walking both to and from it.
The old non functioning composting toilets have been repurposed as more standard portable toilets, but look more in keeping than big plastic boxes!
The rest of the site also has exciting plans that we look forward to seeing. While the buildings may currently look a little unsightly we do not use them, nor spend any time near them bar arrival and departure as the car park is lovely and big for coaches!
Thoulstone PArk
Enquire HereOur new site for 2020. This old golf course has been left barely used for the last five years. This had led to a huge array of wildlife, leaving it ideal for environmental activities as well as all the crazy adventurous activities we do. It is our only residential camping option as well with vast open spaces, large areas of recently planted native trees and our newly dug lake.
Roundwood
Enquire Here40 Acres of private woodland with no development on site leads to a more rustic feel. It is here that we run many of our Forest Schools as well as bush craft courses. This site is ideal for those seeking a more natural experience.
